We're looking forward to another exciting and memorable dance program (since 2000!) as we welcome new dance leaders, ideas, and a whole lotta fun!

All classes will take place at East Hill Elementary School (daycare entrance downstairs).

Payment will be done online. If not able to, send us an email at funkydancerdp@gmail.com to arrange a time on Monday, October 5th or Wednesday, October 7th between 6:30pm and 8pm at East Hill (gym/daycare entrance). Payment will then be in cash.

You will need to fill out the registration form 2x/3x if registering 2/3 children of the same family. It's 105$ for any additional children.

Send an email of confirmation to funkydancerdp@gmail.com with your child's full name, age, day/hour.

No receipts will be given due to the low cost (and in relation to staff contract status).

You will get a welcome call or email a few days before the program begins.

The Funky Dance program will begin Tuesday, October 13th, Wednesday, October 14th and Monday, October 19th (as Monday, October 12th, the school is closed due to holiday).

Please always make sure your child comes prepared to dance (running shoes, water bottle, and comfortable/movable clothing).

The class is 1 hour which comprises a water/bathroom break, warm up and cool down period/activities.

All dancers will learn two dances and a finale.

Please note that we may switch (if possible in relation to registrations and the dance leaders' schedules) the 8 pm classes to 7:30 pm. We will keep you posted if that is a possibility.

Serena Haddad (Smiley Bunch camp coordinator) is the Funky Dance coordinator and is supported by 4 experienced dance leaders (Sara, Adri, Eva, and Rosanna).

If you can help sponsor dancer t-shirts, program booklet sponsorship, and/or major sponsor for the Funky Dance show on May 23rd at the LDV center in St. Leo, please email Theo Vecera at theovecera@gmail.com. Income tax receipt and publicity incentives are included.

All money raised from the show will benefit local youth projects planned by Theo Vecera's new non-profit organization (Ambition Jeunesse Montréal / Youth Ambition Montréal).

All profits will benefit our new East End Mental Health Network being put together, social programs for special needs teenagers, and a thrift store/coffeehouse for teens in RDP (with a particular focus on Anglophone-Italian youth).

A fun and vibrant program with experienced dance leaders here in RDP!
Since 2000, we have welcomed over 80+ girls (and some boys!) annually.
How does it work?

Once a week for 1 hour.

Warm-up, dance practice, and cool-down activity.

2 dances will be taught to your daughter on the dance theme for the year.

1 finale with all the dancers.

End-of-year sold-out "Funky Dance show" at Leonardo Da Vinci Center in St. Leonard,

This year's show will be on a Sunday in the middle of May at 1 pm (more info to follow).

Wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.

Bring a bottle of water.
